PURPOSE: A CVT clamp force control method is provided to improve a vehicle fuel ratio and efficiency by establishing optimum clamp force which is applied between a pulley and a belt without an additional component including a separate high performance sensor.;CONSTITUTION: One clamp force between a driving pulley and a driven pulley is fixed(S10). The rest which is not fixed is established to clamp force of a section in which a change gear ratio is minimized. The clamp is repetitively diminished until the change gear ratio is increased as second reducing force.
