PURPOSE: A photocatalytic composition containing graphene oxide as an effective component is provided to ensure safety to a human body by having a chemically stable structure.;CONSTITUTION: A photocatalytic composition contains graphene oxide as an effective component. The content of the graphene oxide is in a range between 0.001 and 10 weight% based on the total weight of the composition. The graphene oxide produces electron and hole pairs on the surface of the graphene oxide under the irradiation of ultraviolet rays. The composition further includes one or more compounds of metals selected from a group including molybdenum(Mo), bismuth(Bi), cobalt(Co), vanadium(V), silver(Ag), copper(Cu), zinc(Zn), ruthenium(Ru), strontium(Sr), potassium(K), gallium(Ga), tantalum(Ta), thallium(Tl), niobium(Nb), platinum(Pt), iron(Fe), silicon(Si), zirconium(Zr), aluminum(Al), cadmium(Cd), tin(Sn), tungsten(W), nickel(Ni), germanium(Ge), antimony(Sb), phosphorus(P), cesium(Cs), barium(Ba), lanthanum(La), actinium(Ac), and arsenic(As).;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013
