PURPOSE: An in-plane switching liquid crystal display device with a wide view angle is provided to form an optical compensation layer on an external surface or inner surface of a liquid crystal display panel and form a thin film with electrical and optical features instead of an existing electrostatic preventing film, thereby simply compensating for a wide view angle problem.;CONSTITUTION: An upper substrate(SU) includes a color filter(CF) and an upper alignment film(AU). A lower substrate(SD) is attached to the upper substrate. A liquid crystal layer(LC) is placed between the upper substrate and the lower substrate. An in-plane switching liquid crystal display device includes at least one of a first optical compensation layer(100) and a second optical compensation layer. The first optical compensation layer is coated on an external surface of the upper substrate.
