PRE-SWIRL STATOR FOR A SHIP CAPABLE OF INCREASING PROPULSION EFFICIENCY

PURPOSE: A pre-swirl stator for a ship is provided to reduce the surface erosion of a propeller because a flow separation phenomenon is prevented by forming a protrusion part in the end of the pre-swirl stator.;CONSTITUTION: A pre-swirl stator comprises a protrusion part(21) and is installed in a stern part. The stern part is located in the front of a propeller and is connected to a propeller shaft(31). The protrusion part is formed in the end of the pre-swirl stator and is formed into the shape of an ellipse. The width of the protrusion part is 100%-150% by comparison with the width of the end of the pre-swirl stator.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013
