NOVEL NON-SELECTIVE MEDIUM COMPOSITION FOR ANAEROBES AND A METHOD FOR PREPARING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A non-selective medium composition for anaerobes and a method for preparing the same are provided to ensure low price with same recovering ability with a conventional non-selective medium containing blood.;CONSTITUTION: A non-selective medium composition for anaerobes contains activated charcoal and pyruvate in an agar medium without blood. A non-selective medium composition for culturing Clostridum sp. contains 0.2-1 wt%(w/v) of the activated charcoal and 0.02-0.2 wt%(w/v) of sodium pyruvate. The Clostridum sp. is Clostridum. perfringens.
