PURPOSE: A vibration control device and method for a mold in a continuous casting process are provided to ensure uniform solidification by forming a uniform powder layer between the mold and a solidified shell even in the initial stage of casting.;CONSTITUTION: A vibration control device for a mold in a continuous casting process comprises a memory(110), a casting speed detection unit(150), and a control unit(190). The memory stores one or more of operation parameters including a target casting speed, the basicity of mold powder, and the normal vibration amplitude. The casting speed detection unit detects the casting speed of slab continuously casted in a mold(30).
