PURPOSE: An apparatus for sensing the edge position of steel strip in a continuous plating system is provided to extend the life span of a laser beam device by preventing the inflow of foreign materials using an air curtain.;CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for sensing the edge position of steel strip in a continuous plating system comprises a case(110) fixed at an interval from the edge of steel strip, electronic devices(112) which are installed inside the case to emit or receive laser beams, an air-circulating cooling unit which lets exterior air in, circulates the air, and discharges the circulated air, and a purifying unit which is formed at the front of the case and forms an air curtain of compressed air at the front of a laser beam entrance(1) in order to prevent the inflow of foreign materials.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013
