PURPOSE: A water quality modeling and stream treatment system based on a geographical information system is provided to easily create the input material of a water quality model using the database of the geographical information system. CONSTITUTION: A database(221) stores stream information, water quality information, and geographical information. A stream and water quality modeling apparatus(220) automatically separates the simulation section of a stream into reaches and elements through the geographical information, water quality information, and the stream information. The stream and water quality modeling apparatus creates a stream and water quality model input material file by receiving the reach and element information from the stream and water quality information.
