Clay composition for body of earthen bowl

PURPOSE: A body composition for an earthen pot is provided to satisfy various properties required as the body for the earthen pot by adding talc to mixed soil of Sancheong sand and ball clay. CONSTITUTION: A body composition for an earthen pot comprises Sancheong sand 40-53 weight%, ball clay 27-37 weight% and talcum 20-26 weight%. A method for manufacturing the earthen pot comprises the steps of: making a body by blending Sancheong sand 40-53 weight%, ball clay 27-37 weight% and talcum 20-26 weight%; molding the body; incinerating the molded product at 650-700C; coating the calcined molded product with glaze; and sintering the molded product at 1,190-1,210C.
