PURPOSE: A food composition with the liver protection effect, containing a young twig extract of hovenia dulcis is provided to prevent the alcoholic liver toxicity, and to reduce the blood alchol concentration. CONSTITUTION: A food composition with the liver protection effect contains 86.75wt% of young twig extract of hovenia dulcis including more than 10% of solid components, 10.0wt% of dextrin, 3.0wt% of oligosaccharide liquid, 0.2wt% of xanthan gum, and 0.05wt% of extract of grapefruit seed.
