A SKIN EXTERNAL COMPOSITION CONTAINING CALLUS EXTRACT DRIVED FROM SAINT JOHN'S WART

PURPOSE: An external use skin composition containing callus extract derived from Saint John's Wart is provided to improve physiological activity. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing callus extract derived from Saint John's Wart with enhanced secondary metabolic products comprises: a step of culturing seeds of Saint John's Wart to induce germination; a step of inoculating germinated stems and leaves into a medium for inducing callus; a step of treating an elicitor to the proliferated callus and culturing to produce secondary metabolic products; and a step of extracting the callus with solvent. The elicitor includes light/darkness, UV-A, shikimic acid, or jasmonic acid. An external use skin composition for enhancing anti-oxidation or collagen synthesis contains 1.0-10.0 volume% of the extract.
