PURPOSE: A spark preventing device for a relay module and a method thereof are provided to prevent the fuse of spark, thereby reducing the area of contact point which consists of a relay contact unit.;CONSTITUTION: A relay module(100) comprises a coil(120) operated by a relay operating power and a relay contact unit(110) selectively opening/closing according to the operation of the coil. A spark preventing device(200) includes a voltage charging unit(220), a discharging restriction unit(210), and a semiconductor switch unit(230). The discharging restriction unit restricts a charging power of the voltage charging unit in one direction.
