PURPOSE: A method for preparing a catalyst for polyolefin polymerization is provided to prepare a catalyst for polyolefin polymerization with excellent activity even if a simple synthesis process is passed through. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing a catalyst for polyolefin polymerization comprises the steps of: (i) injecting alcohol and hydrocarbon solvent into a magnesium halide compound and adding a magnesium compound to prepare a magnesium compound solution; (ii) reacting the prepared magnesium compound solution with one kind or more of alkylaluminum compounds to prepare a supporter; and (iii) reacting the supporter with a halogenated titanium compound. The phthalate compound is phthalic anhydrides or 1,2-phthaloyl dichlorides.
