Intelligence System for Accident Prevention at Railway Level Crossing and Train Brake Method

PURPOSE: An intelligent system and a method for braking a train are provided to reduce a crossing accident by providing the access information of a train to a pedestrian and the ambient information of a railroad crossing to a train driver. CONSTITUTION: An obstruction detecting device(110) for railroad crossing detects, traces, and stores the video information of a crossing gate. A railroad crossing integration server(120) calculates a left distance, a left time, etc to the railroad crossing using GPS information. A radio transceiver(130) for ground transmits the data of the railroad crossing integration server and video information to one-board equipment(200). An information displaying apparatus(180) transfers real-time information to a vehicle or a pedestrian that crosses a railroad crossing. A road traffic signal control device(190) controls an entry direction to the railroad crossing. A railroad crossing situation monitoring apparatus(210) determines automatic braking by computing the braking distance of a train. A radio transceiver(220) transmits warning message and the video information.
