PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing organic red pigment is provided to reduce extraction time extracting pigment components from a Caesalpinia sappan core, and to enhance production efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing organic red pigment comprises the steps of: (S100) pulverizing a Caesalpinia sappan core; (S200) extracting pigment from the pulverized Caesalpinia sappan core; (S300) supplying ozone to water or alcohol; (S400) putting the pulverized Caesalpinia sappan into the ozone-supplied water or alcohol and heating the mixture; (S500) concentrating the extracted salt liquid; (S600) injecting a water-soluble metal salt compound into the concentrate; (S700) heating the mixture of the water-soluble metal salt compound and the concentrate; (S800) dipping insoluble dipping red colorants; and (S900) washing and drying the resultant.
