PURPOSE: A 3D penetration image data access method for high speed operation and a user interface device thereof are provided to automatically adjust the volume of a polyhedron to be circumscribed by a 3D object and access only to the 3D penetration image data inside the adjusted polyhedron.;CONSTITUTION: A data access unit(300) loads down-sampling data of low resolution for 3D penetration image data to a main memory. A display unit(320) displays the 3D penetration image data loaded to the main memory. A volume adjusting unit(340) adjusts the volume of a polyhedron which encloses a 3D object of the 3D penetration image data to be circumscribed by the 3D object.
