PURPOSE: An underwater ecology protective retaining wall using a vegetation space formed of consecutively installed concrete piles and a construction method thereof are provided to protect the underwater ecosystem by allowing safe habitation of aquatic organisms. CONSTITUTION: An underwater ecology protective retaining wall(10) comprises concrete piles(20) which are installed on the ground consecutively, creature protective grooves which are formed between the concrete piles, ecological spaces which are formed on both sides of the concrete piles and have ecological grooves facing each other, gap finishing materials which are installed up to 0.5~1m under the ground in underwater creature protective grooves(17) formed on the backside of the concrete piles, and vegetation parts which are installed in front protrusions of cap concretes(14) placed on the top of the concrete piles.
