PURPOSE: A pre-stressed steel pipe material, a manufacturing method thereof, and a pre-stressed steel pipe girder using the same are provided to increase the rigidity of the steel pipe material by controlling the thickness of a reinforcing plate formed on the inner surface of the steel pipe material. CONSTITUTION: A pre-stressed steel pipe material is composed as follows. A steel material(30) for pre-stressing is welded to the inner surface of a hollow steel pipe(10). The steel material is composed of a material having rigidity which is larger than the rigidity of the hollow steel pipe. A load is applied to the steel material. After the applied load is removed from the steel material, pre-stress is applied to the hollow steel pipe.
