Composition for Improving Memory Loss or Brain Damage Comprising Soyasaponin Extract of Soybeans or Compounds Isolated from the Same

PURPOSE: An agent containing soysaponin extract of soybeans or compound isolated from the extract is provided to enhance memory and to treat or prevent brain injury. CONSTITUTION: An agent for treating memory loss or brain injury contains soysaponin extract of soybeans as an active ingredient. A method for preparing the extract comprises: a step of isolating soybeans with alcohol, filtering, and decompressing to prepare alcohol extract of soybeans; a step of suspending the alcohol extract and fractioning with hexane to obtain a water fraction; and a step of fractioning the water fraction with butanol to obtain a butanol fraction. The alcohol is methanol or ethanol. An agent for treating brain injury contains soyasaponin Ab or soyasaponin Bb as an active ingredient.
