PURPOSE: A constant temperature air conditioner for a cold climate area with the high efficiency is provided to prevent an overcooling of refrigerant by increasing temperature of the refrigerant being recovered and to compensate the temperature of the refrigerant flowing into an indoor unit. CONSTITUTION: A constant temperature air conditioner for a cold climate area with the high efficiency comprises a compressor(1), a plate type heat exchanger(80), a dual pipe(20), an outdoor unit(11), and a receive tank(4). A flow of the refrigerant is selected according to selection heating or cooling through a four-way valve connected to the compressor. When the cooling is selected, the refrigerant is supplied to the outdoor unit after passing through a low pressure line of the plate type heat exchanger and the refrigerant recovered from a heat exchanger(50) of a heat pipe passes through an inner pipe of the dual pipe and flows to the compressor at the same time. When the heating is selected, the refrigerant flows to the heat exchanger of the heat pipe and the refrigerant recovered through the low pressure line of the plate type heat exchanger from the outdoor unit flows to the compressor after passing through the inner pipe of the dual pipe.
