A Handover Scheme for Improving Mobile Internet Service Performance Using DTMC

PURPOSE: A handover method for increasing performance of a wireless internet service through DTMC(Discrete Time Markov Chain) is provided to prevent ping-pong phenomenon due to unnecessary handover. CONSTITUTION: A handover is performed to a target base station by using two-step transition probability matrix(S606). Handover is performed to a target base station through one-step transition probability matrix by each base station if handover is not performed through two-step transition probability matrix(S614).
