PURPOSE: An apparatus for thermally treating waste is provided to prevent harmful materials such as dioxins from being discharged to atmosphere by extracting carbon during a waste thermal treating process.;CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for thermally treating waste includes a outer container(3), a heat insulating material layer(5), an inner container, an electric heater, a perforated net, a thermal treating unit(55), a water film filtering part, a vapor filtering part, a water tank, and a filter(2). The outer container thermally treats waste. The inner container receives the waste, discharges decomposed waste, and transfers heat generated from the thermal treatment of the waste to the filter. The electric heater heats the waste. The water film filtering part purifies harmful materials contained in the heat by water.
