PURPOSE: A method for inducing the hibernation-like state of non-hibernated animals is provided to be used for long distance traffic of animals. CONSTITUTION: A method for inducing the hibernation-like state of non-hibernated animals is as follows. Low metabolism and low hypothermia are induced by injecting a hibernation inducing agent to non-hibernation animals. A continued dormant state is maintained by injecting hibernation inducing agent one time or more. A wakening state is made by stopping the injection of the hibernation inducing agent.
