STRIP DETECTOR AND A MEANDERING CONTROLLING DEVICE, CAPABLE OF ACCURATELY MEASURING A POSITION OF AN EDGE OF A STRIP REGARDLESS OF A SURROUNDING ENVIRONMENT

PURPOSE: A strip detector and a meandering controlling device are provided to prevent a strip being irregularly wound by preventing the strip meandering, thereby preventing damage to peripheral equipment.;CONSTITUTION: A strip detector comprises a light emitting unit(110), a light receiving module(120), a comparator(130), a light receiving module transfer unit(140), and a position detecting unit(150). The light emitting unit emits lights in the lower part of a strip. The light receiving module is installed in the upper part of the strip, thereby respectively detecting lights emitted from the light emitting unit. The comparator compares each light amount emitted from light receiving module. The light receiving module transfer unit transfers the light receiving module to a width direction of the strip so that the light receiving module flows an edge of the strip according to a result of the comparison of the comparator.
