PURPOSE: Pleuropterus multiflorus and Phlomis umbrosa extracts and producing methods thereof are provided to mass-produce a water-soluble extract containing glycoside derived from Pleuropterus multiflorus and Phlomis umbrosa. CONSTITUTION: A producing method of a Pleuropterus multiflorus extract comprises the following steps: mixing 80-100 deg C water with Pleuropterus multiflorus, and stirring and extracting the Pleuropterus multiflorus for 6-10 hours before cooling the obtained extract at 70 deg C: inserting 4-5wt% of alpha-amylase enzyme into the Pleuropterus multiflorus extract, and fermenting the mixture at 70-80 deg C for 2-3 hours; heating the Pleuropterus multiflorus extract at 95-99 deg C, and rapidly cooling the extract for stopping the activity of the alpha-amylase enzyme; separating solid parts from the Pleuropterus multiflorus extract using a centrifugal dehydrator or a filter press, and centrifugal separating the Pleuropterus multiflorus extract using an ultrahigh speed centrifuge; passing the firstly refined Pleuropterus multiflorus extract through an active carbon filter; passing the secondly refined Pleuropterus multiflorus extract through a micro or ultra filtering system for separating the extract into retentate and permeate; collecting the permeate, and diluting the retentate with purified water; repeating the filtering processes for 2-9 times; and concentrating the Pleuropterus multiflorus extract before freeze-drying.
