PURPOSE: A local information providing method for tourists, web server, and portable terminal are provided to effectively advertise traveling products by providing local information to tourists. CONSTITUTION: A storage unit(130) stores local information according to each location. A transmission unit(150) transmits the location information to a portable terminal connected to a web server. A reception unit(110) receives the transmission request of the local information from the portable terminal before the transmission unit transmits the local information. The transmission request of the local information includes the location information of the portable terminal. The transmission unit transmits location information corresponding to the location information of the portable terminal.
