摘要

PURPOSE: A rabbit animal model for dry eye and screening method of drug for preventing or treating dry eye using the same is provided to have excellent reproducibility and practicality by simple surgical operation for long term like 12 weeks. CONSTITUTION: A rabbit animal model for dry eye is obtained by injecting or applying eyewash material selected from the group consisting of Botox-B, benzalkonium chloride, and their mixture, to the lachrymal gland of a rabbit. The animal model is obtained by injecting or applying eyewash 0.5U/0.1cc Botox-B and 0.2% benzalkonium chloride.
