FIELD: process engineering.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming, particularly, to drawing high-precision large-size solid parts. First, edge of the sheet billet half is formed and held-down between developable holding surfaces of female die and holder. Then, male die secured on press slide bends free half of the sheet located opposite its held-down half along female die rounded parts. Simultaneously, free part of sheet billet is displaced to edge material at billet centre prior to forming said section of the billet. Then, male die draws semi-finished product walls from under held half of the billet to form billet central part by female die cavity central part. Finally, drawn semi-finished product surface is straightened by pressure between female and male die surfaces.;EFFECT: reduced consumption of sheet metal per unit part.;2 cl, 5 dwg
