A method of inhibiting the production of PAI-1, comprising a step providing for the effect of a compound represented by the following general formula (I) or a salt of said compound on a cell producing PAI-1. ! D means a benzene cycle or a benzene cycle containing one or more groups selected from the group consisting of: a halogen atom, a nitro group, a cyano group, an alkyl group, an alkoxyiminoalkyl group, a benzyloxyiminoalkyl group, a phenylalkenyl group, a phenylalkynyl group, a trimethylsilylalkyl group, a phenyl group, halogenated alkyl group, pyrrolyl group, alkylpyrrolyl group, thienyl group, alkylthienyl group, alkylthiazolyl group, pyridyl group, and an alkyl pyridyl group, an alkyl carbonyl group, an alkoxycarbonyl group, a pyrrolylsulfonyl group, a (4-nitrophenyl) diazenyl group and a hydroxyl group; and!
