FIELD: process engineering.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, particularly, to drawing articles from difficult-to-form alloys in conditions of hydrodynamic friction. Proposed build-up die comprises split housing made up of two plates, each having inner tapered location seat, two shells with outer tapered surfaces butted together and mounted in said tapered location seats of housing plates by said surfaces, hard-alloy working die and pressure insert secured in said shells, screw to mount shells in housing plates. Surface of joint between plate locating seat and working die shell has taper being a reverse taper of the surface of joint between plate location seat and pressure insert shell. Total thickness of plates along die axis does not exceed that of shells. Note here that contacting face surfaces of inserts and shells are finished.;EFFECT: higher durability in drawing wire from nichrome in thermocycling and hydrodynamic friction.;2 dwg
