FIELD: medicine.;SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely ophthalmology and ophthalmoplasty, and can find application in surgical management of severe blepharoptosis. Substance of the method involves shortening of a levator and connection of an upper tarsal plate and a frontal muscle though a skin approach. The shortening of the levator is conducted by its resection by 1/2-1/3 of its length. The upper tarsal plate and the frontal muscle are connected with a mercilene mesh by a lower one-third of the tarsal plate.;EFFECT: use of the given invention enhances the correction of upper lid shape and position in severe ptosis combined with forming a physiological upper lid shape with ensuring a more stable result.;1 ex, 5 dwg
