FIELD: metallurgy.;SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises feeding liquid iron solid metal mix into converter, melt oxygen scavenging from above and neutral-gas jet degassing via bottom blow device, feeding lime, cooling agent and heat carrier, and defining melt chemical composition after melt degassing. Prior to feeding materials into converter, heat carrier flow rate is set subject to physicochemical laws of melt dephosphorisation, liquid iron temperature and flow rate, and weight fraction of silicon in liquid iron. Lime flow rate is defined subject to physiochemical laws of lime dissolution, weight fraction of silicon in liquid iron, liquid iron and heat carrier flow rates. Cooling agent flow rate is defined subject to heat carrier and liquid iron flow rate. Melt oxygen scavenging from above and neutral-gas jet degassing via bottom blow device are terminated when weight fraction of carbon in melt does not exceed 12 [P]p. Ferrosilicon or its mix with aluminium-bearing material is used as heat carrier.;EFFECT: low weight fraction of phosphorus in finished steel.
