Device for warming extremities e.g. hands and feet, preferably a hand- or foot warmer, comprises a viscoelastic material, which dissipates at least a part of deformation energy in the form of heat or converts the deformation energy into heat, under mechanical stress. An independent claim is also included for warming extremities e.g. hands or feet, using the viscoelastic material as a foot or hand warmer.
