Insulating cable (1) comprises a conductor (10) covered with two-layered structure of an insulating resin layer. The insulating resin layer comprises an inner insulating resin layer (20) and an outer insulating resin layer (30), which are cross-linked. The outer insulating resin layer is provided at an external surface of the inner insulating resin layer, where the composition of the inner insulating resin layer is same as the outer insulating resin layer. The insulating resin comprises a metal hydroxide and a base resin in a weight ratio of 1.4-2.5 and an antioxidant. Insulating cable (1) comprises a conductor (10) covered with two-layered structure of an insulating resin layer. The insulating resin layer comprises an inner insulating resin layer (20) and an outer insulating resin layer (30), which are cross-linked. The outer insulating resin layer is provided at an external surface of the inner insulating resin layer, where the composition of the inner insulating resin layer is same as the outer insulating resin layer. The insulating resin comprises a metal hydroxide and a base resin in a weight ratio of 1.4-2.5 and an antioxidant in a weight ratio of 0.03-0.2 based on the base resin. The base resin comprises a very low density polyethylene having melting point = 60[deg] C and a very low density polyethylene of melting point = 70[deg] C in a weight ratio of 50:50-85:15. An independent claim is also included for preparing the insulating cable, comprising (i) extruding the insulating resin and covering the external surface of the conductor with the insulating resin for the formation of the inner insulating resin layer, (ii) extruding the insulating resin and covering the external surface of the inner insulating resin layer for the formation of the outer insulating resin layer, and (iii) cross-linking the formed inner and outer insulating resin layers.
