The gripper (1) has a material strip (7) fastened in an overlapping area (8) at a wrist strap section (10) and provided with an widening in the overlapping area, where the widening is extended over the wrist strap section such that the strip overlaps edge of the wrist strap section. The edge of the wrist strap section faces toward another wrist strap section (11), and the strip overlaps an edge (21) of the latter wrist strap section, where the edge of the latter wrist strap section faces toward the former wrist strap section. The strip is partially made of plastic material.
