The assembly (1) has a combustion engine (2) for driving a vehicle. A starter (3) i.e. electromotor, starts the combustion engine. A gearbox (4) i.e. traction drive, connects the starter with the combustion engine during starting the combustion engine. The gearbox comprises two gear wheels (5, 6), which are permanently engaged. A freewheel (8) closes connection between the starter and the combustion engine. The gear wheels are double helical-geared and positioned diagonally with one another. The gear wheels are made of plastic, and comprise more than 20 teeth and a toothed belt.
