The single or dual sewing or embroidery yarn comprises a yarn part made of twisted multifilament polyester fibers, and an air-textured yarn or a core yarn. The yarn contains 95-50 wt.% of polyester fibers made from recycled polyester based on the total weight of polyester fibers present in the yarn. The polyester fibers produced from the recycled polyester fibers have a CIELAB whiteness of 70-30 and impurities such as metallic and/or cellulosic impurities in the concentration of 0.1-80 ppm. The sewing yarn exhibits a tenacity of 30-40 cN/tex. The single or dual sewing or embroidery yarn comprises a yarn part made of twisted multifilament polyester fibers, and an air-textured yarn or a core yarn. The yarn contains 95-50 wt.% of polyester fibers made from recycled polyester based on the total weight of polyester fibers present in the yarn. The polyester fibers produced from the recycled polyester fibers have a CIELAB whiteness of 70-30 and impurities such as metallic and/or cellulosic impurities in the concentration of 0.1-80 ppm. The sewing yarn exhibits a tenacity of 30-40 cN/tex. The air textured yarns have the tenacity of 35 cN/tex. A workability enhancing lubricant is provided on the yarn, where the lubricant is located predominantly on the surface of the yarn and includes an additional lubricant having chemical and/or physical methods detectable colored component. The lubricant has the component in the concentration of 100ppm and 3% based on the weight of the lubricant. The component is a metal such as a magnetic metal, and/or a metal mixture.
