The actuator (1) has an actuating knob (4) guided into a connecting rod, and a set of release levers (6) operatively connected with an unlocking part of a lock of a rear lid or a rear flap. The release levers are interchangeable with respect to each other and differently formed depending on a selected arrangement of the actuator in the vehicle and/or a selected mechanical force transmission element. The actuating knob includes a form-fit retainer (13) for retaining the selected release lever in a form-fit manner.
