The clamp (100) has lateral arc-shaped guides (2, 4) hookable in a snap hook (6), and a rear-sided rope stop surface (8) cooperating with the snap hook when safety event occurs, so that blockage of a backup rope (20) in the clamp is realized. The lateral guides and the rope stop surface form a U-shaped recess for the backup rope, where the rope stop surface is formed as a stainless steel precision casting part. The rope stop surface is flexibly attached between the guides, and rests at the backup rope independent of position of the snap hook.
