The device has an induction device for producing magnetic field. The magnetic field heats metallic components e.g. metallic support tube, metal shell and metallic supporting structure, of a filter element by producing eddy current. The induction device is provided with an alternating voltage source and connected with a current coil (4). The current coil comprises protection windings at a wall of the filter element for receiving a filter cover (2). The current coil is located within the metallic support tube of the filter element.
