The method involves measuring air temperature and wall temperature of a room by an ambient air-side aligned measurement unit (11) and a wall-side aligned measurement unit (12) of a measurement device (10). Temperature of the room is controlled depending on the measured wall temperature and the measured air temperature. Sensed room temperature is formed as controlled variable for the room temperature depending on a sum of weighted wall temperature and weighted wall temperature, where the sensed room temperature is the temperature sensed by human. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a measurement device comprising an ambient air-side aligned measurement unit (2) a room temperature controlling arrangement comprising a measurement device.
