The device has a roller blind including a winding device with a spring drive and a flexible closure sheet winded around a winding axle (7) at a roller. A retainer holds the sheet that is impinged by a restoring force of the winding device, where the retainer is deactivated during the deactivation of the sheet. The winding axle is directed parallel to a boundary (11) of a wall opening (1) and extending the sheet over width of recesses (3, 3', 3'') in a tension condition. The sheet consists of textile fabric, a flexible metal sheet or a sheet of plastic, metal or composite material.
