Producing structured electrically conductive layer (2) on a substrate (1) or a layer made of ceramic material, comprises: (a) providing a mixture of at least one metallic material and an oxide of it, which form a eutectic system; (b) applying the mixture either as structured or unstructured layer on the substrate or the layer made of the ceramic material, and structuring after temperature step; (c) heating the substrate or the layer made of the ceramic material with the applied layer of the mixture, to a temperature, in which the applied layer is melted, and cooling. An independent claim is also included for a composite material made of a ceramic substrate or a ceramic layer and a structured electrically conductive layer that is produced by the above method.
