The cover (2) has a frame cover part with a gasket (5) and a gripper (6), where the cover is locked in a pressure cooker (1). The gripper includes a unit for detaching the gripper with a part of a locking mechanism of the frame cover part. The gripper is fastened to a valve (7) i.e. safety valve (8), centrally attached to the frame cover part, where the valve is arranged in the gripper that is detached via a sliding mechanism. The locking mechanism is fastened by the gripper and a center plate is arranged between the gripper and frame cover part.
