The plug (100) has a solid-state laser i.e. semiconductor laser, for guiding-, shaping-, and generating a laser radiation. The laser is provided at a combustion chamber end of a housing in an opposite side of a combustion chamber window. The housing includes a cover plate for passing the generated laser radiation into a combustion chamber (14). The cover plate completely or partially consists of a material with a heat conductivity of 60 Watt per meter per Kelvin. The material is selected from a group consisting of nickel, brass, copper and material alloy. The combustion chamber is a transparent window formed from a durable heat-resistant and radiation-hard body such as a glass, crystal, and sapphire.
