The method comprises forming a sheet on a wire of a sheet forming apparatus with a mixture of water, fiber material with a freeness of 80[deg] SR and functional materials, and drying the formed sheet, where a paper material is formed on a filter located on the screen of the apparatus. The filter material is removed from the paper after the sheet formation. The fiber material is a pulp or cotton with a freeness of 80[deg] SR. The mixture has a pulp density of 5-20% solids. The paper material contains 60-80% of fillers based on the paper weight. An independent claim is included for a paper material.
