The car has a planar sun protection device (2) displaceable from non-operating position to operating position. The sun protection device covers a portion of a windscreen (1) of the car on outer side in the operating position. The sun protection device is stowed away in a bottom region of the windscreen in the non-operating position. The sun protection device is installed within a windscreen wiper arm (4) such that the sun protection device is displaced from the non-operating position to the operating position and vice versa. The sun protection device is designed as shade.
