Glass ceramic comprises at least two crystal phases, where at least a crystal phase exhibits a positive temperature dependence of the resonance frequency (Tf), at least a crystal phase exhibits a negative temperature dependence of the resonance frequency (Tf) and the glass ceramic exhibits a resultant temperature dependence of the resonance frequency (Tf) of 0+- 20 ppm/K. An independent claim is included for producing the glass ceramic, comprising producing a starting glass, glazing the starting glass to obtain at least a crystal phase, and adjusting the glazing times and the glazing temperatures.
