Producing a dielectric component, comprises: providing a molding, which includes a dielectric ceramic, and has a phase transition temperature above a non-polar phase or a para-electric phase; and subjecting the molding to a thermo-mechanical treatment comprising (i) heat treating the molding at a treatment temperature, which is at least as high as the phase transition temperature, (ii) applying a thrust acting on the molding, and (iii) cooling the molding to a temperature below the phase transition temperature under pressure.
