The machine (1) has a rotor (2), a stator (7) and a heat exchanger that are arranged in a housing (5). A conveyor (9) is arranged in the housing and circulates a gaseous medium in the housing. The stator and the rotor are freely formed in coolant-prominent cross-sections. The conveyor is indirectly driven by a rotor shaft (3) of the rotor. The heat exchanger is arranged around the stator. Medium channels (10, 11) are arranged in corners of the housing by the rotor, the stator and the heat exchanger.
